WeTravelNorth is a part of Boreal Travel as.
Please read the following terms and conditions before making a reservation. It is important to both parties that you understand this agreement in relation to your use of Boreal Travel as.
Please note that reservations that include more than one product will be governed by Norwegian package tour legislation. Should any discrepancies occur between our conditions and the said package tour legislation, then the legislation will take priority.
All travel products available at Boreal Travel as are compliant with Norwegian legislation and regulations. Demands made beyond the said legislation and regulations may be forwarded by Boreal Travel as an inquiry but cannot be part of the contract unless accepted by the supplier.
Boreal Travel as is a member of Reisegarantifondet (RGF), has provided a travel guarantee and paid an annual fee to both the Travel Guarantee Fund and the Complaints Board for package tours.
Membership in the Travel Guarantee Fund is required by the Package Travel Act and related regulations for anyone who will be operating a package travel business. This means that the enterprise/company must provide a travel guarantee and pay an annual fee to both the Travel Guarantee Fund and the Complaints Board for package tours.
Boreal Travel as acts as a distributor for travel and tourism-related suppliers. By travel and tourism-related suppliers we mean: Destination management companies, hotel chains, activity providers, tour operators, accommodation organizers, transport companies, and more.
By the term "booking", we mean the purchase of any product or service made on any of our websites, or at your local destination when it is part of Boreal Travel as network.
Bookings are binding when Boreal Travel as has sent a written confirmation with an order number to an email address submitted by the customer.
Read the confirmation you receive from Boreal Travel as carefully. It is the buyer’s responsibility to make sure that the order is correct. The confirmation is our contract, and it is important that you, the customer, make sure that it is in accordance with your order. Any comments must be made immediately. Payment confirms acceptance of these conditions.
Boreal Travel as advises customers to print out the confirmation and take it with them on their trip.
You must be at least 18 years of age to make a reservation with Boreal Travel as.
Some product owners/suppliers/partners may impose a higher age limit, in which case they will provide notification of this when you order.
You have to prepay the products that we sell with a card payment (Visa, Mastercard, etc) unless otherwise stated. Your card will be charged after you have entered the necessary information. Refunds take 2-4 business days before it reaches your card after our approval. Refunds must be sent back to the card that was originally debited.
The following applies to all products or services booked with Boreal Travel as:
When booking accommodation, general cancellation rules apply for all suppliers (see below). When it comes to other categories, the supplier’s own terms will apply in addition to Boreal Travel as specific conditions as laid down in this document. These terms also apply to package tours, and it is your responsibility to read them. Such terms and conditions will be given in the travel documents.
You are responsible for complying with any supplier-specific conditions in relation to check-in times, reconfirmation of flights, or other matters.
All photographs taken during our excursions might be published by Boreal Travel as. Unless differently agreed upon written request, the client acknowledges that all photographs taken during the tour can be publicly displayed by Boreal Travel as.
The re-distribution of our photos or the use of our photos within products that are mass distributed in any type of archive format is not allowed without an extended or special license.
Boreal Travel as does not sell the ownership nor the copyrights of an image, but only the license to use it.
You can use Boreal Travel as images for any personal projects without time, location, or number constraints.
You may not lease, sell or re-distribute, publish or use for any commercial or public purpose any Boreal Travel as images unless an extended license for product resale or a special license with free rights for the image was purchased.
All Boreal Travel as images are provided as downloadable JPG files. We do NOT sell hard copies nor any kind of prints unless differently agreed upon by private requests.
You will find your photos at www.wetravelnorth.com under the tab «Your Photos».
You are not allowed to use Boreal Travel as images in any way that places the photographer or people in the photo in a bad light.
You are not allowed to use Boreal Travel as images in any manner that is considered libellous, slanderous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, or illegal.
By downloading our images, tours, activities, and services, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement.
General conditions: Prices stated are per room/per day or per unit (cabin, etc.)/per period and include VAT.
No refunds are given for cancellations made directly to product owners/providers.
Damages: The tenant must treat rented objects in a responsible manner. The tenant must leave the rented object in the same condition as when he/she arrived after fair wear and tear is considered. The tenant is responsible to the owner/letter for any damage to the rented object or its furnishings and movables that may occur during his/her stay, because of actions carried out by the tenant or persons whom the tenant or his/her party have allowed access to the rented object during the rental period. Any damage to the rented object or its furnishings and movables occurring during your stay should be reported to Boreal Travel as immediately.
Packages have at least two of the following travel services included such as:
Transport – like a cruise, train or coach journeys
Accommodation
Other tourist services – for example tours, excursions, guides or tickets for concerts or theme parks
A package is sold at a total or inclusive price, must last for more than 24 hours, or include an overnight stay.
Cancellations or changes need to be in writing directly to Boreal Travel as wetravelnorth@boreal.no within the deadlines stated below.
Cancellation or changes 48 hours or less prior to departure will be charged 100%
Cancellation or changes more than 48 hours or longer prior to departure incur no cancellation fee.
Cancellation can only be done by e-mail to wetravelnorth@boreal.no
"No Show" will be charged 100%
Cancellation more than 14 days prior to departure will occur no fee.
Cancellation 14 days or less prior to departure will be charged 100%
A 25% reduction in the total number of guests can be done free of charge up to more than 7 days prior to departure.

One tour leader is allowed free of charge with every 15 adult guests.
"No Show" will be charged 100%
Cancellation more than 14 days prior to departure will occur no fee.
Cancellation 14 days or less prior to departure will be charged 100%

Any amendments made to your booking are treated as cancellations and subsequent new bookings – please refer to the Cancellation of your Booking.
*Some of our sub-suppliers/product owners/partners employ additional cancellation terms together with ours. In such cases, you will be informed of any additional rules when you book.
For changes made online: NOK 0
For changes made through email/telephone/at a tourist information office: NOK 0
Our suppliers may have their own specific cancellation rules.
Circumstances over which we or our product owners (Boreal Travel as/suppliers/partners) have no control, e.g. weather conditions, breakdowns, labour disputes and the equivalent (force Majeure) may result in cancellation/amendment.
Should such cancellation/significant amendment occur, the organizers will provide the customer with immediate notification.
Boreal Travel as will make every effort to operate the bought travel service as stated in the booking confirmation, though reserves the right to modify or cancel the travel service according to the conditions (such as cancelled ferries, severe weather conditions, avalanches, …) or other causes of Force Majeure *. In such an event, the customer will be notified, and alternative arrangements (as far as possible) will be proposed. In the event of those alternative arrangements are not acceptable by the customer, Boreal Travel as will not make any refund of money paid as deposit or otherwise.
In all cases of modified or cancelled services, the customer can’t either request more refund than the initial price of the bought services for example, the cost of food, overnight or other costs can’t be claimed by the customer to Boreal Travel as or its Suppliers.
The right to price reductions or refunds of the purchase sum does not apply if the defect is due to severe weather conditions or Force Majeure.
* Force Majeure shall mean an unusual and unforeseeable event beyond a party’s control, including without limitation: any act of God or public enemy, war, civil war, insurrection, avalanche, riot, fire, storm, flood, sabotage, embargo, explosion, industrial action (including strike), hostilities or terrorism or threatened hostilities or terrorism, and provided further that the consequences of the event cannot be avoided or circumvented by the party referring to Force Majeure.
We recommend all our customers to make sure they have satisfactory insurance arrangements prior to their trip.
Boreal Travel as obligations:
Ensure that the necessary documents/confirmations are sent in writing to your given email address.
Ensure that you receive information of any changes made to your booking.
Ensure that our product owners/suppliers/partners are paid for what you have purchased.
Accountability for supplying the product you have purchased in accordance with its description
Compliance with applicable legislation and regulations
Checking proof of identity/passports where necessary and the rejection of any travellers lacking the proper documentation.
Make yourself familiar with our terms of cancellation or those of our product owners/suppliers/partners.
Accept financial responsibility for all transactions made in your name.
You must be over 18 years of age and have the capacity to affect legal transactions and incur liability.
You warrant that all information about you and your party is true and accurate.
Boreal Travel as must not be used to make speculative, false or fraudulent bookings.
Obtain information about rendezvous times.
Make sure that tickets and confirmations are in accordance with your booking as soon as confirmation is received.
Bring valid identification/passport or visa.
Observe the regulations given by product owners/suppliers/partners.
Do not inconvenience other travellers/participants.
Do not damage the product owner’s/supplier’s/partner’s property – you may be liable to pay compensation.
It is considered a shortcoming when what you receive deviates from what you have booked and had confirmed. It is also a shortcoming when you are given insufficient or negligent information about conditions that would normally be of importance to the product you have booked.
The following circumstances are not considered shortcomings:
minor delays when traveling
deviations from normal weather, temperatures, or other climatic conditions
circumstances resulting from the traveller’s own negligence
Even though we have done what we can to ensure accuracy and availability, some errors may occur. When such occurrences are brought to our attention, we will do our utmost to ensure that you are notified within 3 working days after your reservation has been made. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation and refund the cost, without any liability befalling the customer. In cases where the supplier cancels or makes changes to your reservation, we will do everything in our power to notify you as soon as possible. Should the supplier be unable to fulfil your booking, you will have the option of accepting an alternative offer or cancelling your booking and receiving a full refund. In cases where the supplier is unable to provide an alternative within three working days, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation and provide you with a full refund, without any other form of compensation.
Our website may be subject to modifications and errors without notice. The information provided may be subject to changes that have occurred after it was published. We can accept no responsibility for any clerical errors.
Boreal Travel as can accept no responsibility for accidents or damages (deaths and or other personal injuries) resulting in the discontinuation of all or part of a trip, provided that the damage was caused by no fault of ours or our suppliers.
Boreal Travel as can accept no responsibility for indirect losses or consequential damages of any kind in cases where products or services ordered via Boreal Travel as reservation service are not protected by Norwegian law.
Our privacy guidelines are based on current Norwegian legislation regarding consumer protection and privacy.
Specifically, with the help of Boreal Travel as’s customer review service, you guarantee that:
You have all rights to any user reviews you publish
Any reviews published were correct on their date of registration
You will not consciously or inadvertently publish information that may harm or cause offense to private individuals
You will not publish comments, information, or other material which are untrue, malevolent, offensive, or which may be interpreted as such
You will not in any way trick, mislead, or encourage anyone into fraudulent and/or illegal activities
Boreal Travel as does not edit reviews, if they are to be published, they must therefore be in accordance with our guidelines. We will, to such an extent as the law allows, in no way be liable for such reviews, their use, or distribution. The decision to publish your review and your assessment/comments are made at your own risk.
Boreal Travel as reserves the right to reject contributions or remove (without warning) reviews at its own discretion. Amongst other things, this includes situations where Boreal Travel as receives complaints from a third party and/or has reason to believe that our terms and conditions have not been adhered to. Should you wish to complain about any reviews, comments, or other material on our website, you should do so in writing (submit as much information as possible about the circumstances) to: wetravelnorth@boreal.no.
Should you have any other inquiries or complaints in conjunction with your booking prior to your departure, please contact us by email at wetravelnorth@boreal.no.
Should you have any complaints about a product owner/supplier/partner while on your trip, be sure to lodge your complaint immediately and officially with the relevant product owner/supplier/partner and make sure you receive a written confirmation before departing/checking out.
If you have any other questions or complaints in conjunction with your booking or the actual product itself, you may contact us on your return home, no later than 30 days after the event took place. State your booking reference and/or forward all relevant information in writing.
It is your responsibility to read the below and be informed. When booking a tour with Boreal Travel as, you accept the below conditions. The below regards the following activities:
Snowmobile Tour
Packages including the above-mentioned snowmobile activities
As some of our services/adventures are defined as risk activities, all participants are required to ensure they have adequate insurance coverage for the trip and any accident/illness which may arise during the tour.
During the booking, the participants are required to familiarize themselves with these conditions. By accepting the Terms & Conditions, the participants agree with these terms. Some of the adventures should be regarded as challenging and unforeseen incidents can occur. All adventures have a basic level of safety.
Experienced instructors
All adventures are subject to continual evaluation in order to prevent injuries and incidents of a moderate serious.
Experience with the climate and weather conditions in the areas where our adventures take
Snowmobiles are insured, self-liability for damages max NOK 8,000/accident for the above-mentioned snowmobile activities.
As a participant in an adventure or use of services provided by Boreal Travel as, you acknowledge that this is an activity that can carry a degree of risk for you as a participant.
By accepting the T&C, you declare that you, as a participant, voluntarily and at your own risk participate in the activities arranged by Boreal Travel as.
You agree that Boreal Travel as disclaims ALL liability for any injuries that may occur during my participation in the activities. This covers injuries of a physical, mental and material nature, including injuries that may light at a later date.
Any person who is pregnant, does not have a normal level of fitness or who is suffering from/has suffered from back, neck or other physical/mental ailments is discouraged from participating in some of our activities/services.
If you choose to participate in the given activity despite us recommending against this, you are doing so at your own risk. As a participant, you are obliged to inform the guide about such circumstances and confirm that you are choosing to participate at your own risk.
Participants are obliged to inform the guide immediately if doubts arise about their health conditions, which may have a consequence for their own safety or the safety of other
You acknowledge that all personal belongings and property, including glasses, watches, jewelry, clothes, bags, and electronic equipment, are brought during the activity at your own risk. Please be aware that there is a risk that electronic equipment such as cameras, mobile phones, and laptop computers, will get wet during the activities.
As a Participant, you acknowledge that you are always obliged to follow the instructions of the guide or crew. Failure to follow such instructions can endanger the safety of the crew, other Participants, and can damage the snowmobiles.
People under the influence of alcohol or drugs/medications are not permitted to participate in Snowmobile tours.
Boreal Travel as retains the right to expel any person failing to observe point 4a from the tour without any form of compensation.
You are obliged to utilize the safety equipment provided by the company and to ensure that it is used at all times.
For safety reasons as a Participant I am hereby obliged to alert or notify the guide/crew immediately if an injury, anything of an unpleasant nature or anything leading to the loss of a sense of security arises during the adventure.
Boreal Travel as retains the right to cancel or amend a tour program owing to reasons of safety, extreme weather conditions or force majeure.
Boreal Travel as is not liable for incidents connected to accommodation, facilities or transport.
When booking with Boreal Travel as, you acknowledge that you are strongly limiting your possibility of claiming compensation from Boreal Travel as, its employees, owner and other participants for any injuries which may occur.
It is your responsibility to read the below and be informed. When booking a tour with Boreal Travel as, you accept the below conditions. The below regards the following activities:
